I felt I was spinning my wheels
Before too long the road was calling
I packed everything I own
So sure that I was leaving this small town life behind for good
And not a single tear was falling
It took leaving for me to understand
Sometimes your dreams just aren't what life has planned
I felt I was spinning my wheels
Before too long the road was calling
I packed everything I own
So sure that I was leaving this small town life behind for good
And not a single tear was falling
It took leaving for me to understand
Sometimes your dreams just aren't what life has planned
So far the only people Ash had met were his roomates, Kinkade, who thought that he was a figment of his imagination, Antoine, and Sai, an unstable boy who'd had a nervous breakdown the moment he'd walked into the dorm. Not the most normal-or stable, for that matter-people he'd ever met. Ash was walking to the pool, which was, in his mind, the least likely place for people to be at, since their were beaches all around the island. He loved the sun, and the warmth, it always recharged him when it was sunny.
As usual, two little fire-birds followed him. It was rather annoying, even if the birds were beautiful. They looked like a cross between fawkes the Phoenix, and a swallow. It may sound odd, but a fire-bird is quite breath taking. When they fly, it is more like floating. These two particular firebirds seemed to have grown attached to Ash; they treated him similarly to the way a dog might treat it's master-with love, and loyalty. Reaching the pool, Asher sat down in one of the deck chairs. The only thing on his agenda today was to soak up as much sunlight as he could, without over-charging himself, so to speak.
The fire-birds landed on him, they were made of cold-fire, meaning that anyone could touch them, without being burned. He rubbed on of the birds on it's neck, the bird chirping its gratitude. The other began to protest loudly, until Ash petted that one as well. He shook his head and laughed quietly, the birds had become more demanding as of late-always asking to be stroked or given attention. If Ash wasn't careful he'd end up giving them names, which wasn't the best idea, seeing that a creature could disappear at any moment, leaving whomever was attached to it heart-broken. ]"Alright, guys, that's enough for today."
