KINKADE i've got time for you. you can call your friends for, we're heading on a journey.
Kinkade was not inclined to look back to the others in the room. He was too fascinated by the bird he was holding. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush! Well, now that he was holding the bird. Any other time, he would have jumped to the bush. This is why Kinkade should never be exposed to any form of gambling.... ever. When the bird disappeared from his grasp, he looked up, evidently annoyed judging by his expression. Not. Cool. Dream-boy didn't seem in the mood to hear his complaints, though. When dream-boy got around to saying they should go onto their normal lives, Kinkade chuckled. As if that was likely. What bothered him most was that tone. Don't close up, dream-boy! Off he walked, anyway, retreating to his dorm. He didn't retreat when the wolf was out, but he retreated when the wolf was a boy? Okay, someone had problems. Kinkade followed him anyway, after the door was closed. He knocked lightly against it before speaking.
"Dre- Ash!
"Kinkade felt a little strange talking to a door, but surely the feeling would pass." Too early to go to sleep- come back out here, hey?" You know, for all the negative things he could say about dream-boy already, Kinkade actually sorta- just a little bit- liked him. That is, he was interesting to have around. When he was being nice, he was very nice. And completely opposite of that; when he was cold, he was very cold. Almost chillingly so. But Kinkade was curious by nature, so he didn't let it stop him.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

I’m told that people like to call us dreamers Because we won’t ever stop until we’ve done all we can do There are so many things I haven’t seen So I’ll look ’till I just can’t look no more
He was still stroking Sai when he changed back, and he almost pulled his hand away in disgust. The transition from fur to skin was fluid looking from the outside, but feeling the skin as it changed was not pleasant. It was almost as if his body had wanted him to take his hand off, the sensation of every cell in Sai's body rearranging causing his stomach to curl.
But from a purely visual standpoint, it was so adorable how when Sai changed back (with all his clothes on, thank goodness) how he was still curled up against his leg. He rubbed his neck once more before the kid sat up, as if he didn't realize that he had changed.
"S'alright, kid," he said gently, pushing himself off the ground a offering his hand out to the Japanese boy. "We all have our moments."
And apparently flame-boy was always in a moment. Er. Well, Kinkade seemed to be taking care of that problem. Pierre briefly considered going into Ash's room later that night and making sure he wasn't on any meds, but discarded the idea. If there was to be peace in the dorm room, then he really shouldn't.

He was actually kind of cute, and the way he took care of Sai when he was in his most vulnerable state made Sai like him even more. He smiled at the man. He was so adorable when he wasn’t worried. He just hoped that the whole shifting to wolf form and then back to human again didn’t freak him out. He hadn’t really planned on that to happen. In fact, he hadn’t really planned on the whole shifting to his wolf form happening either. He took the man’s hand and helped himself up. He brushed himself off, and then took a HUGE step out of his boundaries. He quickly hugged the man, then blushed and looked away. “That was…um…for s-staying with me…while I…you k-know…” He was nervous and didn’t know what else to say. He hoped that the man didn’t mind. Despite the fact that he was so nervous that he couldn’t think straight, he frowned and looked at the door. “U-Um…is he gonna be…o-ok…?” He was worried that he might have offended the man in some way. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - WORDS: 184

I felt I was spinning my wheels Before too long the road was calling I packed everything I own So sure that I was leaving this small town life behind for good And not a single tear was falling It took leaving for me to understand Sometimes your dreams just aren't what life has planned Ash sighed, he was laying on his bed, eyes closed. He was also trying to ignore that fact that Kinkade was knocking on his door. Honestly, Asher would give anything to be left alone, but the fire-birds had other plans. They flew over to the lock on his door, and using whatever weight they had, unlocked the door. Asher groaned, the birds were always up to some sort of mischief, this time it happened to be making sure he wasn't alone.
Ash cleared his mind of all emotion, and thoughts. What anyone who was an empath or telepath would see was nothing. Just pure white. No thought processes, emotions or anything else. Nothingness. That's what Asher was projecting, to anyone, it was as if he simply didn't exist. Ash waited to here to door knob turning and footsteps entering his room. He lay there - waiting.

KINKADE i've got time for you. you can call your friends for, we're heading on a journey.
There was the sound of the door unlocking- so, dream-boy was willing to let him in? Kin wanted him to come out, he didn't really want to go in, but he'd take what he'd get. Well, maybe. He hesitated at the door, staring at it, silently hoping that Asher would open it instead. And then, just like that, Asher was gone. Not just ignoring him, but gone. How had he vanished? That was not called for at all. Kinkade glanced back at the other two.
There was Sai, seeming much calmer but confused, and there was Pierre, seeming to Kin to be in comfort mode of his own. But, no cold presence of Ash. So, Kinkade turned his gaze back to the door, and without a second thought, he went in. Into the room where Ash was lying. How did he...? It wasn't the first time Kinkade's power had been fooled, of course. It was just a bit of a shock to him each time.
"You have to teach me how to do that,
"Kin stated. It was fact; he would pester the older kid until he did- don't think he wouldn't. It suddenly occurred to him that this was such a bare room. He managed to find a place to sit. Namely, atop Ash's desk. " Your accent... You grew up in Ireland? Did you like it there? Bet it was beautiful."Kinkade prompted. As odd as it sounded, the silence and emotional void this room fostered was kind of scary. Kind of... empty. So he would do his best to fill the room with lighthearted talk to, he could only hope, bring the emotions back to Ash.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Well. Er. That was... unexpected. He felt red rising in his cheeks as Sai squeezed him around the middle. It was kinda nice, though. Like when Victoria used to hold him close, only better. 'Cause this kid would not kick him in the nether regions and call him a freak when he found out about his ability. He smiled and ruffled Sai's hair. "No prob, kid."
Oh. Him. Well. Er. Kinkade had already gone in, so it could hurt to go in, too. "Let's find out, shall we?" Pierre said, walking in. He motioned for Sai to follow, but then added "If you want to," because he wasn't sure whether Sai wanted to actually check on the kid.
"Hey, Ash," he began when he walked in, then stopped, seeing Kinkade had already started a conversation, and leaned against the wall, waiting to see how the kid would react.

He was happy now, and he was beginning to trust Antoine, which was a huge step for him. He rarely trusted anyone. Then again, rarely anyone comforted him when he had his panic attacks, so feeling safe at his most vulnerable state was such a relief. He couldn’t thank the man enough. He wanted to do something for him, but what? He couldn’t think of anything at the moment. He decided that he would do something later for the man to thank him. He looked at the man and watched him go across the hall to what Sai assumed was the flame-boy’s room. He then looked at Antoine and frowned, following the man over to the room. He was about to say something else, but saw that the man who had been eating a pop tart was having a conversation with the flame-boy. He looked ok, but Sai wanted to be sure. However, he didn’t want to interrupt them, so he leaned against the door frame as well, making sure that he kept his distance from Antoine. He didn’t want to invade any personal space that he might have. He looked towards the two that were conversing and wondered what the Pop tart man’s power was. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - WORDS: 228

I felt I was spinning my wheels Before too long the road was calling I packed everything I own So sure that I was leaving this small town life behind for good And not a single tear was falling It took leaving for me to understand Sometimes your dreams just aren't what life has planned Ash sighed, why must his privacy be invaded all of the time? Yes, the fire-birds quite often helped people intrude, but they were only doing what they thought would help Ash. It'd always been that way. "It's rather simply. Just empty your mind of any thoughts, emotions, anything. Leave nothing inside. It helps if you close your eyes," answered Ash, somewhat gruffly. He doubted that Kinkade would be able to do this, the boy seemed to have an issue with random thought patterns and excitement issues.
"Yes. Ireland is my home. Inch Island to be exact. I was 'king', so to speak, in Ireland's tradition. Sister's son would be next in line, but seeing as she's younger than me, it's going to be a while." When the boy said Ireland must have been beautiful, Ash scoffed. Ireland was more than beautiful. It was wild, magical, mysterious. There were many a local legends that claimed that to fey were real. Ash partly believed in them as well, he'd caught a glimpse of their world, their king, Finvarra, once. And because he sort of had too, as King of Inch Island, or 'island isalnd', as the name translated out to be.
"Calling Ireland beautiful is like calling a poisinous snake safe to handle. Completely and utterly wrong. There is no word to describe Erin. Only myths, legends, and the fey can. You have to have lived in Erin as long as I have to understand. Not many do unless they were born and raised there."
When Antoine and Sai came to the doorway, he rolled his eyes. So they were like lemmings, where one went, the others followed. Closing his eyes again, he once again emptied his mind. Nothing. Not even a sign of life. Just..white, no, not even that. One by one, Ash relaxed his muscles until his entire body was limp, all tension gone. It was part of the excercises that he'd been taught by family friends. "Cén fáth a bhfuil tú ag cur as dom?" he asked in Irish, not that he expected them to understand. It was said without emotion, conviction or any kind of connotation. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]
