Ivan stood were he told Kat he would meet her, Again he was nervous, of course he was, she wasn't here.. Maybe she forgot? No, he refused to accept that, she would come and everything would be perfectly fine... He swallowed hard pacing back and forth with his new clothes just for tonight. He remembered all the good times he had with Kat in Russia. Yet for some reason she moved, for reasons unknown, maybe her parents found out about him?
No, there was no way, there just wasn't... He got a bit teary eyed thinking about Kat leaving him. Ivan, he told himself, snap out of it! Ivan continued to pace but slower, as he noticed the lonely stars twinkle in the far galaxy's away. He asked aloud to the stars "Do you ever get lonely? Being so far away from others?" He sniffled, at the thought, just like Kat and me.... Ivan again thought. Just then the cool night air blew a gentle breeze, and Ivan picked up a slight smell of perfume.
"Hello, Kat..." He said almost to the air in a welcoming tone, but he knew she was there, scared to approach him.

YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYESif ten million fireflies lit upTHE WORLD AS I FELL ASLEEP butterflies fluttered in Kat’s stomach at the thought of seeing Ivan at the carnival. The memories that came rushing back were crushing, yet exhilarating. She remembered having the best time when she was with him. He could always make her smile, laugh, and feel good. Those were not things that came easily to Kat. Normally, she was cynical, cold, aloof. She didn’t really care much about other people, and she had a quick and ferocious temper. That much had shown a few nights ago in her fight with Robin. For no reason she had started attacking the girl. Kat, though, had no remorse. Honestly, she couldn’t have cared less. She knew how horrible that sounded, and once again, didn’t care.
the ferry ride over had been…interesting. She’d never ridden on a boat before, until using it to get to Alexandria her first time. Kat still wasn’t used to the rocking motion, but she was starting to find it soothing, calming. She’d finally found something that relaxed, other than Ivan, or dreaming. Walking along the trail to the carnival, she shivered slightly. Although it was warmer than in Russia or England, it was still chilly, and she’d forgotten her jacket. Spying Ivan through the trees, she approached silently. Smiling, Kat came up behind him, a plan in mind. She rested her chin on his shoulder, and wrapped her arms around him. ”Hey,” was all she said. He was warm, compared to her shivering body. It spread throughout her entire body, making her feel normal again. She breathed in his familiar scent, letting it calm her nerves. Of course, it only made things worse.

Ivan smiled and stood forward as Kat walked out of the darkness and hugged him from behind. Ivan rotated his head to see Kat smiling on his broad shoulder. But when she did hug her she was cold, Ivan turned his arms around and awkwardly hugged Kat behind her while still keeping himself looking forward, Like a prisoner position, Another thing was that Kat felt cold, of course she was, she only had an open neck t-shirt and some jeans, well he had a t-shirt on but he had the ability to increase his heart rate to warm them both up. he decided to warm her up a bit by keeping the hug. As she began to warm up he totally forgot what she had said.
Ivan whispered "Hello beautiful." to Kat, He finally let go of Kat against his will, he wanted to just hug her forever, until they were forced apart, Kinda like Romeo and Juliet he thought to the past, yup, they were like Romeo and Juliet but Russian. He looked at Kat with a large smile on his face from the past, he couldn't stop thinking about it, who could? Ivan then pulled out two carnival tickets he purchased early. "Lets go in the safe way" He slightly winked as he gave her one. Although they had fun sneaking in, getting free rides, they were adults now, and powers were strictly prohibited on the island. But of course if he got into a sticky situation, he would use his ability and get them both out of there.
"Or do you want to go in the fun way?" He turned his head more to see her whole face with a smile on his face, with her hair hanging down beside her.

YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYESif ten million fireflies lit upTHE WORLD AS I FELL ASLEEP warmth from Ivan soaked into Kat as he put his arms around her in an awkward hug. She smiled, and nestled her face into his neck. When Ivan said, ”Hello beautiful,” Kat blushed. She’d never been called beautiful before. ”You’re not so bad yourself, handsome,” she murmured into his neck, loving the way it felt natural to be with Ivan. When he let go of her, she sighed a little in disappointment. All Kat wanted to do was cuddle with him, or at least, have his arm around her. After their kiss in a secret passageway, and their declaration of love for each other, Ivan was all Kat could think about. Until she received word that Emmett had come, Kat had been in bliss.
emmett was a British Lord, who wanted to marry her first thing out of high school. He was an ass, and a player. He treated girls like trophies, conquests. And Kat was the ultimate prize. He disgusted her, and all she wanted to do was forget him. Ivan was one way to do that. When she was with Ivan, the rest of the world disappeared. ”Let’s go in the safe way, at least, for tonight. After all, I don’t want to waste the money you spent on those.” She replied, pointing to the tickets. Slipping her hand into his, Kat led them to the gate. Once they were through, she suggested a ride, ”Let’s go on the Ferris wheel.” As they walked into the crowd, Kat became swamped with all of the dreams and wishes, and hurried to put up her psychic shield. She extended it to include Ivan, so it didn’t block him.

All Ivan could do is smile as he turned with her to walk to the gate, his hand engulfing hers, He couldn't help but smile at the memories of him leading her through dark alleyways and streets, teaching her evasion and hiding, what he was best at. But her comment about his looks made him rather light, he was always told he was a boring loner that had nothing to say. But with Kat by his side, he couldn't stop thinking of what he should say or do. They entered inside the carnival, noises of laughter and rides filled his ears and his brain, He now looked around like a lost child remembering his way home for the first time. He looked at Kat who spoke but he could not hear, but she motioned him to the Ferris Wheel and he knew what she wanted.
He chuckled slightly, "Just like old times..." He whispered to Kat softly. But then something happened as they walked through the crowd, he began to hear dreams and whispers of prayers. He tried to remember if this was from a former victim but he couldn't find out who, little did he know it was Kat who put him inside this new state of mind. But as he always did he kept quiet as they walked closer and closer to the almost clear line at the wheel. He stood patiently with Kat in the very short line and he looked at her with a bit of confusion about what he was hearing, because it seemed as though Kat was in her our state of mind like he was. "You ok?" he managed to choke out.

YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYESif ten million fireflies lit upTHE WORLD AS I FELL ASLEEP shattered Shattered, her shield could no longer keep out the dreams, they flowed in, like a dam breaking. She realized that Ivan could sense these, because she’d extended it around him, and he was probably suffocating under the pressure. Kat had years to build up the strength to bear the dreams. Ivan, however, had only seconds. When he managed to say, ”You ok?” she blanched. ”Oh Ivan! I’m so sorry. It’s my power – the dream world pressing in…I wanted to block myself from it, but by doing so, I had to drown out the world around me, so I wanted to include you in the shield. Ivan, I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
scanning Scanning the area around them, Kat looked to see if anyone had heard them. No one had – thank god. She immediately dropped the remaining shield from Ivan, drawing all of the dreams into her. She struggled for a second, but then regained her composure. It was much easier having someone share her burden. Someone was talking – the person who ran the ride. They were beckoning them onto the ride. Kat led Ivan onto the ride, and sat down next to him, snuggling close. Wrapping her arms around him, she brooded silently, ashamed at what she’d done to him. Sighing, she looked up at him, and then projected her dream into both of their minds: Kat and Ivan, dancing around, both masked, both happy; graduation, for both Kat and Ivan; living together as graduates/Alexandria college students; then, them living together in Russia, happily married.
i love you,
Ivan...I can’t bear to hurt you.” Kat shifted so she could give him a light kiss, then going back to her previous position, blocking all dreams from Ivan – the pressure would be too great for him, a non-dream walker. Although Kat desperately wanted to introduce him to the dream world, she didn’t. For one, it was dangerous for both Kat and Ivan, but especially Ivan; two, it was neither the time nor place for this; and three, Ivan was probably incredibly drained from his previous exposure to the dreams and prayers. Ivan smiled slightly as she apologized for the migraine she'd given him. The sensation was rather interesting but it hurt his head a bit and he knew why she had apologized because of her explaining her power that he'd never really noticed in her. "Its fine," He rubbed his head slightly as they were beckoned onto the ride. "It was rather quite interesting" He smiled at her. As the ferris turned slowly around and about, he looked at Kat as she turned to him for a kiss. He accepted her offer and lightly kissed her letting his mind and soul run free.
Ivan then wrapped his arm around her and looked into the sleepy night, with the stars twinkling ever so slightly. When Ivan heard Kat speak the next words, his stomach fluttered slightly. He looked back at Kat and whispered "I love you more than anything, And it didn't hurt much." He finished the last few words with a laugh. He chuckled as the carriage was near the top, and the breeze blew into the seats, He brought her in closer, to warm her,
After all she was only wearing a t-shirt. "Have I ever told you want I can do?" He whispered to Kat, he didn't know if she knew his power. Or if she even cared, Nonetheless, He wanted to talk to her.

YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYESif ten million fireflies lit upTHE WORLD AS I FELL ASLEEP "interesting is one way to put it, I remember when I first noticed the ability – it was crushing, at first, especially to a little girl.” Kat replied, a little dryly. They were at the top of the Ferris wheel’s rotation. The view was breath taking; it was like being on top of the world. All of the sudden, it came to a screeching halt. A worker shouted from below not to worry, however people were doing just the opposite. ”What about?” she said in response to his question. It was then that she realized that he never told her his power, and Kat had no idea what it was. What she did know was that he was warm, like a space heater that you could cuddle. Well, I suppose one could cuddle with an actual space heater, but that would be odd.
people were starting to freak out, imagining terrible things, and whispering prayers. It was suffocating Kat, the sudden rush of them. Intense pain filled her mind – it was crushing. She cried out softly, stiffening. Swearing rapidly in Russian, Kat attempted to build her shield up again. It didn’t work, for some reason. She couldn’t breathe, and was barely able to think. Whispers and shouts flooded her mind, pushing Kat out into the cold, leaving behind only the dreams and prayers.

Ivan smiled lightly at her small flashback, but he decided to stay silent, looking at the view absolutely breathe talking, with the breeze in full swing. He spoke with a bit of sadness, "Well mine isnt so interesting, just becoming invisible that's all." He paused as he heard the ride stop, Great a broken ferris wheel is what he needs right now. He has gotten off some before, but he had an extra passenger. Luckily this wasnt a cheap model of a Ferris wheel, meaning there was a lot of support beams and places he could get a foothold. The next question was Kat, who looked like she was having an immense breakdown. He tried to comfort her, but he needed a plan, he looked down. Crap, a good forty feet to the ground.
He sighed as he stood up onto the edge on the seat, The next support bar was fairly close, close enough to step onto, in which he did. He then looked down at the ground then back up at Kat, He crouched down and held out his hand. "Im going to need you to focus if you can." He braced his other hand to the beam that he stood on, it could hold two people. "Do you trust me?" He held out his hand, getting flashbacks of Aladdin in his vision. He shaked it our of his head as he balanced on the somewhat narrow beam, while the wind ruffled his hair.
"I've done this countless times, Just follow my lead."
